Open house scheduled for
SR 32 Eastgate area improvements

County (Tuesday, June 2, 2015) – The Ohio Department of
Transportation will host an open house to present to the public the preferred
alternative for the planned improvements to State Route 32 between Eastgate
Boulevard and Olive Branch-Stonelick Road.

During
the open house, the project team will update the public and receive its
feedback on the section of SR 32 that extends between Eastgate Blvd. and Olive
Branch-Stonelick Road. The public is invited to visit anytime during the open
house to ask questions and view exhibits; no formal presentation will be given.
The
open house will also provide the public the opportunity to offer its input on
the preferred alternative, which was developed following last summer’s round of
public involvement work. Personnel from the Ohio Department of Transportation,
Clermont County Engineers Office and TranSystems will be available to discuss
the study, listen to the public’s comments and answer questions.
During
the upcoming months, ODOT will be preparing detailed designs, coordinating with
resource agencies and obtaining the necessary environmental clearances for the
project.
The
improvements being planned will work in conjunction with construction now
underway at the SR 32 interchanges with I-275 and Eastgate Blvd. and other
related projects to better support increasing traffic levels in the area,
reduce congestion and traffic delays, improve access to and from local
roadways, businesses, shopping and residential areas, and to improve overall
travel safety for motorists.
These
improvements are also core components of the Eastern Corridor program, which
will improve connectivity, access and safety, and support economic development
opportunities between downtown Cincinnati and Clermont County.
