SR 503 closure scheduled for culvert work

State Route 503 closure scheduled for detour work

Preble County (Thursday, June 16, 2016) – Culvert replacement on SR 503 between Gratis and Somers-Gratis roads requires closing SR 503 next week.

SR 503 will close at 7 a.m. Monday, June 20 until approximately 3:30 p.m. Friday, June 24. The detour will use SR 122 and SR 744 into Butler County to SR 725 in Preble County.

Arrow boards and/or signs will be in place to alert motorists of the upcoming road closure. All work is dependent upon weather.

To help ensure the safety of the construction workers as well as the traveling public, motorists should remain alert, reduce their speed and watch for stopped traffic while passing through the work zone.
