Traffic switch scheduled for I-275 bridge project
Hamilton County (Tuesday, Aug. 14, 2012) – Bridge work on Interstate 275 will require a new traffic pattern to be implemented on westbound I-275 between U.S. 52 and Five Mile Road.
Work to implement the traffic switch will require various lane closures on westbound I-275, beginning at 7 p.m. Tuesday, Aug. 14 with all lanes open to traffic by 6 a.m. Wednesday, Aug. 15. Upon completion of the traffic switch, a lane of traffic will be placed on either side of the work zone, with access to U.S. 52 restricted to the right lane only. In addition, because of restricted lane widths, no load wider than 11 feet will be permitted through the work zone.
Arrow boards and/or signs will be in place prior to the work zone to alert motorists of the upcoming road closure.
To help ensure the safety of the construction workers as well as the traveling public, motorists should remain alert, reduce their speed and watch for stopped traffic while passing through the work zone.
