Bridge work requires U.S. 42 lane closures
Hamilton County (Wednesday, Oct. 25, 2017) - Bridge work requires nightly
lane closures on U.S. 42 beginning tonight.
Various lane closures
on north and southbound U.S. 42 at the approach to the Clay Wade Bailey
bridge from 6 p.m. until 6 a.m. each night Wednesday, Oct. 25 through Sunday,
Oct 29. Lane closures will be in place on U.S. 42 between West Third and West
Traffic will be
maintained with the use of steel plates, and all lanes will be open during the
Arrow boards and/or
signs will be in place to alert motorists of the upcoming work zone and
To help ensure the
safety of the construction workers as well as the traveling public, motorists should
remain alert, reduce their speed and watch for stopped traffic while passing
through the work zone.
