U.S. Route 68 closure scheduled for
culvert work

County (Wednesday, 29, 2015) –
U.S. Route 68 will be closed for five days for culvert replacement work
just north of SR 343 beginning Monday, Aug. 3.
U.S.
68 will be closed between SR 794 and SR 343. The detour for northbound U.S. 68
traffic will be east on SR 343 to north on SR 72 to west on SR 794. Southbound
U.S. 68 traffic will use the same reverse detour.
Arrow
boards and/or signs will be in place to alert motorists of the upcoming full
closure.
To
help ensure the safety of the construction workers as well as the traveling
public, motorists should remain alert, reduce their speed and watch for stopped
traffic while passing through a work zone.
