SR 741 to close for culvert work
Warren
County (Tuesday, Sept. 2, 2014) – Culvert work will
require closing State Route 741 between State Route 73 and just north of SR 122
and local traffic will be maintained.
SR
741 will be closed from 7:30 a.m. Monday, Sept. 8 until 3:00 p.m. Friday, Sept.
12.
The
detour for northbound SR 741 traffic will be east on SR 122 to north on SR 48
to west on SR 73, back to SR 741. Southbound SR 741 traffic will use the same
detour in reverse. The detour is an additional seven miles or approximately 9 minutes.
SR
741 will be open for the weekend and close again from 7:30 a.m. Monday, Sept.
15 until 3 p.m. Friday, Sept. 19. The
road will be closed between SR 73 and 1.2 miles north of SR 122 and the same
detour will be in effect.
Arrow
boards and/or signs will be in place to alert motorists of the upcoming road closures
and detour.
To
help ensure the safety of the construction workers as well as the traveling
public, motorists should remain alert, reduce their speed and watch for stopped
traffic while passing through the work zone.
