Culvert work to
close US 68
Greene
County
(Thursday, April 30, 2015) – Culvert replacement
work will require full closures on U.S. 68 for the next two weeks:
Tuesday, May 5 through Thursday, May 7:
U.S. 68 at the Clinton/Greene county line.
Wednesday, May 6 through Friday, May 8:
U.S. 68 near Spring Valley-Paintersville
Road.
Tuesday, May 12 through Friday, May 15:
U.S. 68 at Winchester Road; once complete,
work will move to just south of Bell Road.
During these closures, northbound US 68
traffic will be detoured to north Interstate 71 to north SR 72 to west US 35 to
US 68. Southbound traffic will be detoured to east US 35 to south SR 72 to
south I-71 to US 68.
Arrow
boards and/or signs will be in place to alert motorists of the upcoming road
closures and detour.
To
help ensure the safety of the construction workers as well as the traveling
public, motorists should remain alert, reduce their speed and watch for stopped
traffic while passing through the work zone.
