Warren County construction updates

Warren County (Wednesday, May 28, 2014) – To accommodate bridge repair work, State Route 48 south of Mason-Morrow-Millgrove Road, is reduced to one lane across the bridge. Traffic is to be maintained  by a temporary  traffic signal for 90 days. Work, which is being performed by Complete General Construction Co., includes replacement of the bridge deck, painting and other minor repairs.

Southbound Interstate 71 between the SR 73 and Wilmington Road exits will be reduced to one lane from 7 a.m. to 2 p.m. Thursday, May 29 for pavement repair operations. Traffic delays may be significant.

Both directions of Interstate 71 between the SR 73 and SR 48 exits will be closed to traffic from 5 a.m. to 10 a.m. Sunday, June 1. The detour for southbound I-71 is SR 73 to U.S. 42 to SR 48 to I-71; the detour for northbound I-71 is SR 48 to U.S. 42 to SR 73 to I-71. During this detour, the ramps from SR 123 to northbound I-71 and from Wilmington Road to southbound I-71 will be closed.

Arrow boards and signs are in place prior to these work zones to alert motorists of the closures.

To help ensure the safety of the construction workers as well as the traveling public, motorists should remain alert, reduce their speed and watch for stopped traffic while passing through the work zone.
