(Wednesday, May 28, 2014) – To accommodate bridge repair work, State
Route 48 south of Mason-Morrow-Millgrove Road, is reduced to one lane
across the bridge. Traffic is to be maintained by a temporary
traffic signal for 90 days. Work, which is being performed by Complete General
Construction Co., includes replacement of the bridge deck, painting and other
minor repairs.
Southbound
Interstate 71
between the SR 73 and Wilmington Road exits will be reduced to one lane from 7
a.m. to 2 p.m. Thursday, May 29 for pavement repair operations. Traffic delays
may be significant.
Both
directions of Interstate 71 between the SR 73 and SR 48 exits will be closed to
traffic from 5 a.m. to 10 a.m. Sunday, June 1. The detour for southbound I-71
is SR 73 to U.S. 42 to SR 48 to I-71; the detour for northbound I-71 is SR 48
to U.S. 42 to SR 73 to I-71. During this detour, the ramps from SR 123 to
northbound I-71 and from Wilmington Road to southbound I-71 will be closed.

boards and signs are in place prior to these work zones to alert motorists of
the closures.
To
help ensure the safety of the construction workers as well as the traveling
public, motorists should remain alert, reduce their speed and watch for stopped
traffic while passing through the work zone.
