10. Statewide Show Choir
As a way to help kids teach other kids about safe walking and bicycling to school, ODOT created the All-Ohio Safe Routes to School Show Choir. In 2011, ODOT recruited high school students from around the state to create a safety song and video titled “Keep It Safe Out the Door.” This first-of-its-kind, hip hop-style educational video combines a catchy song with dancing and safety demonstrations. Ohio is the first, and only, state to have a statewide show choir.
