5. Every Move You Make
Karen W. Kasich, Ohio’s First Lady and Ohio’s Safe Routes to School Ambassador, helped ODOT launch an ambitious awareness campaign. The ultimate goal was to increase awareness and reduce injuries and fatalities near K-8 schools. The campaign featured multiple innovative and interactive efforts all over Ohio. Including: 36 school safety rallies; a School Safety Contest that garnered more than 400 entries, ranging from videos, art projects and posters; multiple press events for Walk to School month, Safe Routes to School day at the Ohio State Fair, which featured Ohio First Lady Karen W. Kasich and the All-Ohio Safe Routes to School Show Choir.
