Local Road Safety
Videos and Brochures for Local Elected Officials and Local Agency Practitioners
Local road safety is a concern for everyone who lives in Ohio. The fatality rate due to serious crashes is 2.5 times higher on local roads than highways. Intersections, hidden driveways, narrow two-lane roads and greater possibilities for distractions create unique roadway situations for drivers on local roads.
The Federal Highway Administration's Office of Safety in conjunction with ODOT want to offer resources about local road safety for local elected officials and local agency practitioners.
