 About ODOT D-5

 
​District 5 has a team of more than 300 employees who work together to maintain the nearly 3,731 miles of U.S. and State highways in our seven-county area of east/central Ohio. The counties of District 5 include Coshocton, Fairfield, Guernsey, Knox, Licking, Muskingum, and Perry. We maintain four Macro-Corridors within the district, giving our employees a good mix of high traffic volume interstate and rural roadways to work on. Our roadways include Interstate 70, Interstate 77, US Route 33, SR 161, SR 37 and SR 16. District 5 is also responsible for 1,094 bridges and 6 rest areas within our jurisdiction.  District Five is an excellent region of Ohio to live and work in, with urban and rural settings to suit the diverse interests of our employees.

​District 6 includes eight counties in Central Ohio, varying from urban interstates in Columbus to rural state routes in the outlying counties. Headquartered in Delaware, Ohio, District 6 is responsible for an incredible variety of projects, ranging from total interstate reconstructions to bridge replacements to bike path projects. ​ODOT District 7, headquartered in Sidney, has a great mix of both rural and urban areas, allowing employees to work in several different environments. This district serves larger cities such as Dayton, Springfield, Piqua and Sidney, while also serving many small towns and rural communities throughout the nine county area. District 7 has a wide range of career options from Highway Technicians, Inspectors, Office Administrators to Engineers. ​Nestled in the rolling hills of Appalachia, southern Ohio is known for its beautiful scenery and comfortable, relaxed atmosphere. Yet the eight counties of ODOT District 9 are steeped in a rich archaeological, natural and cultural history that has a place in Ohio’s history and the history of our country. From Native American sites to the Underground Railroad, residents and visitors can take a walk back at sites like the Rankin House along the Ohio River in Ripley or Serpent Mound near Peebles in Adams County. And from state parks and national forests, every county in the district is touched by the beauty of the area’s landscape. Outdoor enthusiasts can enjoy an afternoon of hiking at Shawnee State Forest in Scioto County, fishing at Paint Creek in Ross County, boating at Rocky Fork Lake in Highland County or golfing at any one of a number of courses in the area.  There are many festivals and events that celebrate the different communities’ heritage and traditions.  Whether it’s the murals along the Portsmouth flood wall or a performance of “Tecumseh” in Chillicothe, the stage is set for a wide array of entertainment in every county.   In addition to the variety of recreational activities, District 9 is served by four-year and two-year state universities offering degree programs in a variety of academic fields.

 About ODOT D-12

 
​The Ohio Department of Transportation, District 12 represents Ohio’s Cleveland region.  With more than 370 diverse and engaged employees, the District is responsible for helping northeast Ohioans get where they need to go. Be it removing snow, paving roads or planning the next big project, ODOT staffers in northeast Ohio are always engaged with their community. The District is overseeing the largest bridge replacement project in the state’s history as well as dozens of other projects, investing billions of dollars in the regional economy.  Cleveland is experiencing a level of investment and national attention that hasn’t been seen in years. A wave of tourism-related development has resulted in a new convention center,  the Horseshoe Cleveland Casino and the Greater Cleveland Aquarium.
