Bridge Inspection (Basic - Level 1) Prerequisite: None. The objective of this course is intended for new bridge inspectors. This 3-day course is part one of two required for the comprehensive training course based upon the NBIS and the Bridge Inspector's Reference Manual.
Required Review: Bridge Inspection Primer Workbook (link below), print out and answer the questions. Bridge Inspection (Advanced - Level 2)Prerequisite: Bridge Inspection Level 1. This 3-day course is part two of two required for the comprehensive training course based upon the NBIS and the Bridge Inspector's Reference Manual. Bridge Inspection Refresher TrainingPrerequisite: Active NBIS Program Manager or NBIS Team Leader. This 1-day course will refresh the skills of practicing bridge inspectors in fundamental visual inspection techniques; review National Bridge Inspection Standards (NBIS); communicate issues of national significance; re-establish proper condition and appraisal rating practices; and review the professional obligations of bridge inspectors. The course is based on the latest revision of the ODOT Manual of Bridge Inspection. Topics include both administrative requirements and component ratings. Bridge Inventory Coding TrainingOverview of ODOT Bridge Inventory Coding Guide. Please print copy of Bridge Inventory Coding Guide and bring with you to the class. There will be no Coding Guide available in the class.
